As we, a group of Hematologists and Medical Oncologists from our dear country (Iran), are familiar with the man’s effort and desire to live when facing great pain and a vague outlook; we see his hopes and worries during his time of suffering; we know what makes life bitter for our compatriots is contrary to the spirit of life and human living conditions; so we announce some demands with the aim of reducing people’s sufferings and returning hope to our country.

1. The officials of the country should show empathy and use words free of contempt to show that they are aware of the depth and breadth of the people’s demands and announce programs for fundamental changes in the management of affairs.
2. Support the free flow of information, refrain from applying catastrophic restrictions on the Internet, and take action regarding the immediate release of journalists and civil activists.
3. Refrain from using violence against protesters, including children and teenagers, violating the constitution and preventing peaceful protests.
4. Managers and decision-makers who provide the context for licensing violent and stimulating encounters should change their practices.
5. Avoid using forces that have illegal functions under the name of private clothing.
6. Action should be taken concerning the release of those being arrested during the recent protests, including students and physicians.
7. Considering the questionable performance of the forensic organization, restore trust in the country by handing over the case of the famous victims of the protests to the trusted groups of the medical and judicial community.
8. While creating national trust in domestic sources that are now in the worst possible situation, the threatening aspects of foreign media activities should be reduced by: fundamental changes in the management and policies of the radio and television; the creation of an impartial reference media; the permission to establish independent domestic networks, and the restoration of news authority inside the country.
9. The areas of systematic discrimination between citizens, which have large and catastrophic dimensions, should be eliminated. The areas of embezzlement and rent and the enjoyment of the country’s resources by a specified class should be destroyed.
10. All agents of violence in educational and medical centers should be decisively dealt with while refraining from attacking all these places.
11. Medical equipment should not be used non-therapeutically, and the possibility of providing medical services to injured people and injured prisoners should always be provided.

We wish that the dear people get the peace, prosperity, and what they deserve for which they have given their lives and blood for a long time and that our country remains proud and united while expressing our condolences and sympathies to all the grieving families of the events of the past 40 days in different parts of Iran.
